This course intends to clarify the issues of biblical interpretation by studying the epistemological bases of various approaches to the Bible. The presuppositions of the three major interpretive orientations are classified according to the focus of meaning favored by the interpreter, that is to say, the context of production, the forms and structures of the text itself and the context of reception.
