Objectives

The Certificate in biblical studies aims at acquiring an overview of the Bible by locating books in their original writing context. Through an introduction to various scientific methods of exegesis and a study of biblical texts, the student will become familiar with the content of the Bible and the methods of reading the Bible as the Word of God and literary corpus of antiquity

Credits obtained in the Certificate in Biblical Studies (without graduation) are transferable in the Bachelor of Theology program. Any student enrolled in the Certificate in Biblical Studies, and who wishes to continue his academic path to obtain a Baccalaureate, must either change the program for the Bachelor of Theology before the end of the last active session, or accumulate two other certificates to complete the 90 credits required to obtain a multidisciplinary Baccalaureate by cumulating three programs of 30 credits each.
